Project Manager

About the Role
As a Business Systems Analyst / Project Manager you will play a key role in delivering large-scale technology consulting services for enterprise clients. You will work with cross-functional client teams to analyze current systems, identify process gaps, design workflows, and support the implementation and migration of a complex community platform.

This position requires a balance of business analysis, systems understanding, and project management expertise. You will help shape and document solution paths, coordinate engineering and implementation activities, and oversee change management, training, and lifecycle enablement. This is a full-time, fully remote position within the Solutions Consulting Department that requires availability during Pacific Standard Time (PST) working hours.

What you'll do

Solution Design & Analysis
  • Work with client stakeholders to determine and document the solution path for a large-scale community portal/ system.
  • Conduct ecosystem analysis, workflow mapping, gap assessments, and technology evaluations to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
  • Perform change management assessments and develop strategies to support adoption across a large technical community.
  • Establish and track performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate project success and ongoing system maturity.
  • Review and update existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and formulate new SOPs aligned with the community system’s requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the product team to gather and document requirements for engineering and UI/UX teams and support the delivery process by performing user acceptance testing (UAT) and leading product demos.
  • Deliver clear recommendations and actionable roadmaps for implementation.
Migration & Implementation Support
  • Support the migration of a large community program into a new system, including data modeling, onboarding workflows, and data normalization.
  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end testing, verification, and validation of features and processes.
  • Develop and document playbooks, onboarding processes, and workflow mechanisms for community transitions.
  • Provide project-related documentation, including timelines, milestones, and progress dashboards (e.g., Asana, PowerPoint, ClickUp or other project tools).
Lifecycle Enablement & Process Development

  • Analyze, design, and recommend the implementation of features such as content moderation workflows, localization, and automation of administrative processes (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, and KPI reporting).
  • Develop workflows and governance models that enable the system’s long-term scalability and operational maturity.
  • Support the creation of training materials, onboarding guides, and documentation for system users, including administrators, community managers, and end users.
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure alignment throughout implementation and lifecycle operations.
Project Leadership & Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle ensuring deliverables, timelines, and dependencies are clearly understood.
  • Demonstrate strategic problem-solving skills and initiative in identifying and proposing solutions to clients.  
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, community managers and other stakeholders to align project goals and technical execution.
  • Lead internal and external meetings, providing status updates, risk assessments, and solution recommendations.
  • Support project planning, change control, and documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or enterprise systems consulting for large-scale technical environments.
  • Technical aptitude to discuss software architecture, integrations, APIs, and data models.
  • Proven experience with system migration, process design, workflow mapping, and documentation for enterprise solutions.
  • Strong understanding of community management systems and reporting workflows.
  • Experience conducting gap analyses, ecosystem evaluations, and developing change management strategies.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects, follow up in a timely manner, prioritize based on client needs and feedback, take ownership and drive closure on open items.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in excel formulas, data analysis and VBA.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Asana, ClickUp, or Jira.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Additional Information

All employment at Sympo is at-will with a minimum of a 90-day probation.
  • Upon employment, provide evidence of U.S. Citizenship or legal right work in the U.S.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a comprehensive background check, including: Social Security Trace via Address Mover; 7-year felony/misdemeanor search in all counties identified in the SSN trace; 7-year federal criminal search in all corresponding districts; National Criminal Database search; National Sex Offender Registry search; Global Watch screening; adjudication review; and verification of one legal name plus up to three aliases.
