About the Role
As a Software Engineer at Sympo, you’ll design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions that power our client applications and integrations. You’ll use your technical expertise across multiple programming languages and frameworks to build reliable, scalable, and secure systems.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams, including Solutions Consultants, Developers, and Project Managers, to deliver high-quality software tailored to client needs. This is a hands-on, full-time, fully remote position within the Engineering Department.

• Design, build, and implement web applications and integrations using languages such as Python, Django, JavaScript, AWS, React, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts, APIs, and web forms to connect data across platforms and improve functionality.
• Evaluate and analyze client requirements to provide accurate development estimates and identify technical constraints.
• Lead software solution implementations that meet both technical and business objectives.
• Apply best practices to document and manage requirements, design specifications, and code changes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and clear code documentation.
• Prepare and deploy solutions by defining and designing system specifications, architecture, and programming standards.
• Develop and enhance applications within low-code SaaS platforms such as Quickbase when applicable.
• Integrate systems using RESTful web services and Python libraries to exchange data between applications.
• Contribute to reusable internal code libraries and improve development consistency.
• Manage source control and collaboration using repositories such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Solution Consultants and Project Managers to ensure successful, on-time delivery of client projects.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain application performance and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve development practices.
